Past Grant Recipients’ Projects: Hollie Marron
Hollie Marron, an Occupational Therapist that incorporates Therapeutic Horticulture into her work. She is the recent recipient of the NEHTN garden grant. Because of all of the new social distancing measures, Hollie has been recording and editing short videos about the Grow Food Northampton Community Garden’s Garden Access Project. Most recently she featured the versatile deep seat kneeler bench. The two handles allow an individual to push up to standing. When you flip the bench over, there is squishy foam to kneel on. In this position, the legs act as hand supports which is helpful for when standing back up. She recommends that when kneeling, to put one leg up into a high kneeling position. This stance is easier on the back.
