Bridge of Flowers, Shelbourne MA

Next, we traveled to the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, MA. It’s the only one of its kind in the world. Built in 1908 as a trolley bridge across the Deerfield River, in 1928 it was converted into a flower bridge after the trolley ceased to operate. Over 500 varieties of annuals and perennials are planted and tended by local volunteers. This famous historic landmark is the pride of Shelburne Falls and it was easy to see why!
