Silver Hill Hospital is a nationally recognized non-profit hospital for the treatment of psychiatric and addictive disorders, a unique and extraordinary place people have relied on since 1931 to help them find the path back to mental health and wellness. Silver Hill provides adolescent and adults a broad comprehensive range of programs offering inpatient, extended on-site residential treatment, and intensive outpatient programs. An environment conducive to healing makes Silver Hill Hospital a hospital that doesn’t feel like a hospital, but rather a comfortable place in the Connecticut countryside.
HT session: You will get a sneak peek into one of Erin’s exclusive therapeutic horticulture sessions that she facilitates for the patients of Silver Hill. Erin is the full time Horticultural Therapist at Silver Hill and a registered HTR since 2012. Come see how she helps patients in recovery connect to the natural world. After the session we will walk the picturesque campus with stone walls and winding paths. Viewing the different unit from afar, residential and inpatient, Erin will talk about each unit and what they focus on. If the weather is nice we can walk to the natural labyrinth next to the stream and see the unique setting where Erin works.
We will start our day with registration in the conference room at the Martin Center.

Directions To The MARTIN CENTER: Martin Center is located on the EAST side of campus. Go over the two one-way bridges and park in the big parking lot. The Martin Center is the large building on the left. Enter the building through the double doors and turn right into the conference room.

From I-95 or the Connecticut Turnpike, take exit 15 to Route 7 North. Take exit 2 and turn right onto Route 123 North. Turn right again to follow Route 123 North. Follow approximately 4 miles and turn right onto Route 106 North. Follow approximately 2 miles. At stop sign, turn left onto Valley Road. At second stop sign, continue straight on Valley Road. Silver Hill Hospital is approximately ½ mile down on Valley Road.
From the Merritt Parkway Southbound, take Exit 38 and turn left onto Route 123 North. Follow approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Route 106 North. Follow approximately 2 miles. At stop sign, turn left onto Valley Road. At second stop sign, continue straight on Valley Road. Silver Hill Hospital is located ½ mile down on Valley Road.
